This design has been refined after many years of R&D and is now for sale with permission from Pala. Tips:
Keep your scanner clean by washing in warm water only.
Dirt on the bottom cone edge may catch light, give this a wipe before use.
Store your scanner away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving in a hot vehicle.
